Another Looking for car thread...
okay guys, its time for me to move on to a new car. I have a price range of about 18,000, i would prefer to buy from a dealer. Ive been looking at trucks, and some sports cars. I may want to stay in the volvo game, but theres is not enough performance available. Ive been looking at some chevy silverados, and a lightning or two. Pros and cons, of either truck. Also, ive been looking at some 04 Gto's a little out of my price and i know some of the members hate em, but i would plan on s/c it. I also looked into a 03-04 Volvo s60r they're about 22-24 right now, so waiting is a good one. .I just kind of want something to fulfill my performance wants, and also a nice comfortable car. Im not really interested in buy this and mod with this suggestions, because i just want something i can play with thats reliable, but does have a good performance backing. So what would you guys buy used...and keep insurance in mind, i dont want to get something that will be like 600$ a month, like a evo/sti/srt-4. But just through some suggestions out so i can look into it....
May be a stupid thread with not enough specific information,

Anyhow....you're numbers dont really make sense. You have an 18k limit, yet you want a GTO to eventually s/c (even though by the time it's paid off you'll have too many miles or other problems to want to mod it). But that's just you saying what you WANT, not really what you can get.
Anyway, I'd go VW. 1.8t or a rabbit. Or if you really dont care too much about performance and still like some downlow getup a TDI.
