Default Need help replacing wheel studs

Ok. The car is an 86 turisom.. FWD... When I was taking off the lug nuts the stud broke in half. No big deal.. I got the brake caliper hanging off to the side and the rotor off of the spindle.. Now I got the cotterpin out but I have a 1 1/4" nut to take off. I can see the studs and the back of the studs but can't take the plate off.

I am afraid that if I do take the nut off (spindle nut) that the CV axle and bearings will be loose. Is this true?

What will most likely happen if I take that nut off?

Pictures will come if needed.

please help

By rotating it you mean lift the other side of the car (right front) and put it in neutral and spin the wheel?

nothing will happen if you take the spindle nut off, but the best bet is just take it to a shop, you can drive with 3 lugs, just go slow and be cautious

man fuck a shop... but I took the spindle nut off.. Nothing happened.. The CV axle moves in and out of the splined hub or whatever it is.... I just can't find anymore bolts to take off.. Well there is four on the other side of the lug stud plate..

This isn't my daily driver.. This is just a car I take out to auburndale with and go around the track...

you probably have to seperate the two pieces using a tool i doubt you have.If im not mistaken, i doubt you have that notch someone up there ^ was talking about.
IDK, if you started this project unsure of what to do, you should have brought it to a shop to begin with IMO.
G/l...

What is with you guys telling me to keep bringing it to a shop.. How is one supposed to learn.. This isn't my daily driver soo time isn't a problem..

But I did figure it out... I belive I have to replace the whole hub because of the way this was designed..

Has anybody heard of replacing the complete hub because of a stud broke?
