You just seemed to go several directions in a single post, so I was sure which direction you wanted to go.

Briefly.
Auto execs driving competitor's cars? Auto execs have every right to drive whatever car they want, but if they were smart they would drive the car they manufacture.

Merging auto manufacturers? It's been happening for 100 years. But it would be kinda sad to see Ford and Chevy merge.

Imports vs. domestics? The Japs build a solid car, probably the best. They just lack personality and excitement and are built for people 5'8".

Toyota overtaking GM? People have been saying that for 10 years, but GM has perfected the art of building cheap disposable vehicles and as long as there is a WalMart mentality there will be a GM car bought.

I agree with most of what youve said here for sure. Sorry about the lack of direction, it was a late sleepless night, and i just tried to see some conversation going about some Automotive related things. It just seemed interesting to me that under the conditions he chose the vehicle he chose.

When the CEO makes a point to talk about a car, as if it were the best in the world, drive one to work, then walk into his office into a major automotive manufacuriung as a CEO, it speaks volumes about the production choice. he didnt so much just blow it off as preference. I like a lot of cars. I didnt buy my supra just because i liked it. I can afford many cars, I just liked the perceived value in purchase. Its blatantly what he has done, and its a representation of current domestic automakers trends as of late. Produce things even their own wouldnt drive. Ive grown up with a bunch of people that work at dealers. They never own what they work on, unless it is a great deal. I guess just like any lucrative business, never buy what you sell Im sure there are exceptions, perhaps youll have 15, just to spite. Nevertheless, i suppose we shall see if this exhibits a trend. Ford is producing some nice stuff right now.
what the fuck are you talking about? I think you're on a whole other plain here....
