people reference racecars alot, but they are nowhere near what you would have on your street car, i love the realtime acuras, and they do amazing work, but on the whole, FWD sucks...happy?

I googled realtime rl and got nothing, maybe you can elaborate what it is as well as tell me which RWD and AWD cars they beat.

Torrance, Calif. 11/11/2005 -- Powered by Acura, the RealTime Racing team clocked its competition in the SCCA's Speed World Challenge Touring Car category.
Peter Cunningham captured the title with consistency as his one victory was complemented by six other podium results and he never finished outside the Top 10 in 11 starts. Teammate Pierre Kleinubing earned a season-best three wins to take third in the standings, while Brandon Davis copped top rookie honors and finished fourth in the points.
Eric Curran, with one win, wound up fifth in the standings as RealTime's drivers claimed 15 of the possible 33 podium spots over the course of the 11-race season.
Acura whipped Mazda and BMW for its fifth manufacturers' title and it was the ninth crown for the RealTime team in it's 13 years in the series.

And SWRT has won numerous rallys, how does a touring car team prove fwd doesnt suck for a daily driver?
Back on topic, I see the ion redline as another SRT-4. Originally a economy car, changed into a "sports sedan" at a cheap price. I dont like them but if you do, enjoy it.

Also, you do realize that your WRX was essentially a economy car turned "sports sedan" for homolagtion, right?

Well, Jon states that it does matter for a daily driver. Even in performance driving, the negatives associated with an FF car are usually balanced out by other factors, such as low weight.
My car corners nearly neutrally, with a bit of understeer (at the 10/10's limit), and I don't even have on a beefy rear sway bar, which should take care of that problem. Other than that, it's quite balanced. I've bested several FR cars and even came pretty much dead even with a Saab 9-2x (the Saabaru thing) at the last autocross I attended. Charles is by no means a bad driver either.
Do FF cars have disadvantages? Yes; I won't argue with that. But hell, I paid $12,000 less than a WRX for my car, and it's a hoot to drive. I just hate when people automatically discount any front drive car because "OMG IT'S FF WTFBBQ".
