Hey guys i hardly post here... only when i have a burning question maybe you guys can help me out here.

I have owned a Integra for the past 3 1/2 years and only used it for straight transportation within those 3+ years i have put on roughly 60,000K on it... it has treated like any other integra.. good, reliable, cost effective etc...

But... now it has 160,000 miles and is a bit on the old side for me *sigh* Basically i have found an awsome deal on another integra I dont mind buying another one because i will use it the same way i used my other one... Here i will break it down for you..


Old Teg..

*1996 - ten years old
*160,000 miles
*5-speed
*fair condition - interior is kinda shabby and paint has slightly faded in certain areas

New teg..
*2001 - last year they made them
* 48,000 miles
*AUTOMATIC
*8,000 obo

Now my only concern is the automatic transmission. Is it good? Will it do me right? Will i get bored? Are there any flaws i should know about?

Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated... Please no flames i am looking for honest opinions here.

my work vehicle is automatic, wouldn't have it any other way when sitting in shitty traffic on I-275/I-4. I drive about 6000 miles a month on it and its nice to be able to feel numb and bored, but then again that car is numb and boring as it is.

My fun car is 6spd, and thats all that matters to me.

 

Im more likely to crash in an automatic car

 

swap a type-r in your old one and buy new seats, ,thats less than 8000

besides, i hate driving slow automatics, someone said that before and i believe its true, the vette was fun auto but....i'd hate my car if it was auto, and i hate the civic

 

plus the paint fix-up = 1000

consider all that put together makes ur car not only faster and better but cheaper and i guess more reliable if u do the engine swap right since you know your car and all the problems it already has ;D

Just put your 5speed shit into the slushbox. but it's a stock LS, you're not going anywhere fast anyway so just deal with it.
