My advice would be to start karting 80 cc's then work your way up. From there maybe do a SCCA racer on the cheap - or buy a 944 and start doing DE and track events. Better yet - start doing the DE and track events - there are some instructors there that have 30 years of experience, some past SCCA champs. You can't beat that for $180.00 and car prep.

Then sign up for Chin and NASA and get on the track as much as possible. You think you are good - but really you don't know dick. There are guys I know that can pilot a washing machine around Sebring faster than me.

How does six hours in one day sound?

Sorry Jeremy, I had to get a plug in there too.

Absolutely - Forgot about SAFE - but the instructors at PCA are top notch. Track time - absolutely - CHIN and SAFE will get you more track time than PCA.

This really does sound like a great way to get track time. Not to mention they use great tracks. Im just about ready to take my VW out to Sebring and have some fun.

Do it, do it, do it. You won't regret it. But go to a club that has instructors first, like Porsche. SAFE Motorsports prefers experienced trackers.

Jeremy, I went to the Indy F1 race a few weeks ago and after watching the support races I have a whole new appreciation for Porsche. I always respected them but dayuuuum were those guys going at it on the track. Jeezus.
