Default Thinking of selling the C5 to get an R33 GTS...

So I came across this Skyline R33 GTS for sale, at a really fair price. I spoke with the owner, and they are imported as "kit cars" so they are legal. Do you think ditching my beautiful C5 for a skyline is a smart decision? I know I could even make money off the deal once I obtain the car... I'd just like to have some feedback, and your opinions on the whole idea!

If I were you, I would NOT do this.

I'ev heard way too many horror stories about importation woes, and the last thing you need is to sell a great car like you have to get a car that may just be crushed, and then you are fucked.

It would be really cool to have a nice car such as the skyline you just showed, but things like that are usually too good to be true.

Unless it is one of the few Skylines that Motorex imported that were grandfathered in as "legal", then I woudln't do it.

Try and get some information from government agencies, customs, etc. before you make a decision.

From what I heard there is a loophole in the law, and these cars are imported in pieces then reassembled as kit cars. Check out the website www.sky-kit.com

importation?

you'll get the shit flamed out of you, but if you want it get it, make sure you check it out though, and have it looked at by like an appraiser or something and see what he says about the legality of it, then make your decision, but if the price is right, and especially if you can make money off of it, then hey, sounds cool

+1 on it being legal, if it is, ditch the vette.
