i was saying that u dont get it..them cars dont go lean on the top end just like al said it was them just half ass tuning back in the days..them boys tune and dyno them engines all the time trust me..gene fulton is a rich man from them eating engines up.them tunes are for upper rpms not lower rpms..u ever sit on the line lately at the strip while a pro-mod 4 stage monster runs..they are rich at the hit most of the time.
also they only pop them when they put them on the ragid edge and most of the time that is when there in the highest rpms with all the kits going and the engine on kill..them big cubic inche engines are at there limits..the 738ci engines bores actualy gos oval during a pass some what.
as for the early years of pro-mod the n2o cars stamped the blower boys..after awhile the blower guys figured there shit out..then they let the high helax blowers run and now the blower guys stomp the n2o guys..shannon jenkins has already said a year and a half ago that the n2o guys are done..they got nothing more left in them engines there at there max.
also they run them engines so hard on missed shift or your late on a shift boom engine gone ask jenkins he will tell u..
