I think it depends on the year of the vehicle. It's been awhile since I've had to deal with it, most times it was replacing a dash from collision damage but you had to have a police report sent to Chrysler and they made a new one. Like I say it's been awhile and not sure if its still done that way or not.

Damn, I wish I had known that earlier. It would have saved me hours of explaining to the police as to why my VIN's didn't match. Strangely enough though my original dash, block, and rain tray vins didn't match.
