well i just got my car back yesterday from VW..i had a sunroof drain problem in the fender well...well anyway..so i pick up my car drive it home and it just sits..well today i go to work at 8..and i just got off 30 minutes ago..well im driving down lakeland hills (crowded ass road in the ghetto of lakeland..) and my steering wheel starts jerking VIOLENTLY..almost throws me into on-comming traffic..so i slowly pulled the e-brake and i threw on my flashers..i slowly coasted down a street and pulled over...a taxi driver follows in behind me and he pulls up beside me and says

"your front right wheel is about to fall the fuck off..two lugnuts fell off and hit my car"


so i get out and look at my wheel and ALL of my lugnuts are about to come off...now i get super fucking pissed..the service dept at VW is closed right now so i cant call them until monday..i ran back across the street and picked up my lugnuts too...im so fucking pissed right now its not even funny...they had my fucking car for a week you think they could have tightened down some goddamn lug nuts..the taxi driver was pretty cool though..the lugs that hit him didnt do any damage and i tightened everything up and took a lug from my back wheel to substitute so i could have 4 on there instead of 3..and i just left the two that fell off...off the car..

That is a shitty feeling, I had the same thing happen on us 19 in tarpon during rush hour once. Took a car in trade and I guess they had been working on it. Go to take it for a drive and the wheel ends up wedged up in the inner fender while I'm sitting there with no way to do anything. Sure was fun jacking it up in the middle of 19 and putting the wheel back on.

my car doesnt have studs..the lugnuts screw into it..holding the wheel on..so if your nuts fell off you would still have studs..my wheel would just fall down..it fucking scared the shit out of me..

 

that especially sucks in a VW. I dont like the lack of studs on VW's. My girlfriend got a flat in her turbo bug, and not have studs made it that much mroe of a pain in the ass to change the tire on the side of the road. I like having studs to hold things in place if a lug nut is not attached.

Ummmm Id say lawsuit but nothing was damaged. Instead of making this post you should of gotten back in your car and ran off the road into a light pole and sued the hell out of them.

If they fixed a leak in your roof they probably had nothing to do with your bolts falling out.Shit they probably never drove your car and did a check if they didnt charge you for it.I hate morons that try to blame people/shops that didnt touch the part of thier car that failed after it leaves.If you go back you might get the $5.00 bolts you lost.

 

Hey buddy, check the first post, it says it drained into the inner fenderwell. I don't know about you, but I would take the tire off to work inside the fender...stop getting so pissed off and read all the way through an article once and a while.
