+1 on RandyCSVT

93ex- pressure is the anti-boil. The higher the pressure the higher the boiling point. Which is precisely why if you were to get out out of your car after running it and take off the radiator cap/resevoir cap everything would start boiling over where it wasn't previously. Antifreeze does have a higher boiling point than straight water, though.

FWIW Nascar motors run upwards of 100PSI in their cooling systems.

but you're forgetting that when under pressure the boiling point (212F, not 180F) raises. You don't use 100% water because like I already said you need the lube and anti-corrosion properties of the coolant.

Ha, you should see some of the coolant passages and hoses on cars after people run straight coolant in their car, and its not good to run straight water cause the coolant has a higher boiling point and keeps it all from rusting......
