AWD people chime in
The main piece of advice to someone new to AWD is to not lauch your car very hard, doing hard clutch drops will get you a broken tranny and an empty pocket being as im guessing all-trac trannys arent easy to come by. The rest is pretty much explained above.

Im soo glad I posted this here, the first thing I was going to do was a 5k Clutch dump. I figured If the trans am could launch good, how could a little turbo Celica awd launch. Thanks alot guys! rep for all of you who gave advice.

subru drive train = week
toyota = 100 times better
so what there saying is not true for all awd cars
[quot]-No ebrake slides (not that you would anyway ). Again center diff go bye-bye if done repeatedly.[quote]
clutch in you'll be fine

Take it easy in the rain, you can accelerate faster than you can brake. I found that out a long time ago, sliding my car through a red light pumping the brakes frantically after accelerating full throttle to try to hit the yellow. You may have straight line grip, but don't let it fool you into taking corners too fast or cutting braking distances short.
And yet another vote for take it easy on the drivetrain. If you want to launch your car, take it to the drag strip and start with more clutch slip than you think you need, then slip it faster and faster until you hit your best 60'. It's easy to just dump it and break things, and it's also easy to slip it too much and kill clutches trying to avoid breaking things. There's a sweet spot and I felt that 60' numbers helped me find it much better than street launching.

With Celica's most of what they say is applicable, also how many miles on the car, have you changed ALL the fluids in it?
All-Trac's are good cars all around and they can take a decent amount of abuse but if you push it too hard broken All-Trac's aren't easy to fix.
Good luck with your new car, I'm kinda tires so I didn't get into it much, hit me up on AIM sometime and I'll let you know some more there.
Also, you got any pics? I <3 the All-Trac and wish they had made a 6th gen GT-4 *sigh*
