You get less energy from the same volume of fuel, so if E85 costs the same as gas you're paying more.

well it wasn't john stewart who said that, just a guest on his show..but its whatever...there is ethanol in alcohol....151 in the tank.

this is true, but the projected cost of E85 should be cheaper than regular gasoline.

its comperably price, the 85 means 85% ethanol, and i guess 15% gas, but its higher octane for the same price on less emissions, and as stated above helps out americas farmers and reduces foreign dependancy

Let me clear some stuff up.

E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline) has less BTUs then gasoline, meaning you wont get as good gas mileage and it'll take more of it to make the same power. Yes it has a bit higher octane, but who cares unless you convert it to run only on E85.

build a still. it will cost you around .70 cents a gallon to make. i know a few people with there own stills. i'm thinking of setting one up.
