Drive my car around for 20 mins, it actually looses power, even at 14 psi, it feels like 1. it's true.
When cold start, it feels good.

Not that easy, it's 10hp per properly supported psi in the turbo's efficiency range. A small stock turbo starts blowing hot air pretty quickly, and the rule assumes all the supporting mods are there.

What do you have, a standard sr20 swap- intake, front mount, turboback, untuned? Probably more like 200-210 whp on 10 pounds. Friend of mine did 220 on 14psi untuned with that same basic setup.

Plus he's adding HP to the stock flywheel number. 235 at the flywheel probably isn't that far off.

Sounds like startup enrichment helps...maybe if you richened the car a bit it would be better

Unless if your intercooler/intake just heats up too much from the lack of turbo efficiency, which factories love to do

Just ideas...dont quote me on that

Boost for the sake of boost is bad. Lots of factors to deal with. There are Buick GN's that can run 10's all day long on 10-15 psi boost, while my car needs 25+ psi boost to run with them. If your engine can flow a lot of air than you'll see more hp as you increase boost. At 17 psi boost my car made 403 rwhp 545 rwtq and at 25-27 psi boost it made 593 rwhp 695 rwtq. For arguments sake, it was 10 psi increase. It bumped rwhp by 190. This yields 19 hp per psi boost on my pushrod 3.8L V6 engine...For smaller engines it should be less until you start hogging out the head(s) and going to more cam.

The LSx generation of V8 engines also flow very well and each psi boost increase yields significant amounts of hp.

Oh, flywheel numbers. I only use those when I'm talking to people that know nothing about cars. Yeah, 235 doesn't sound unreasonable.

+1, but because everyone I try to talk to about stuff like that only knows flywheel HP and doesnt even know what a flywheel is, not to mention "wheel HP" gets different when you talk to someone with a different drivetrain layout than you, a la Evo vs. Supra. If both engines had identicle power output in their respective cars that for the sake of arguement weighed exactly the same with the same gear ratios, the Evo would be faster from a dig, though I think it wouldnt be that much slower in the top end.

Basically I usually use flywheel because its more universal. I also use it because I'm modding my car the wrong way; putting performance parts as my goal on there and just seeing how much power I get out of it. Honestly I dont have a power goal...whatever my planned mods give me power wise is good enough for me

as some have said this is WAY too broad of a question. There are so many factors that make a huge difference in what you'll gain per poind of boost. Most of these factors have already been mentioned and each are very important in figuring this out. It just really depends on your setup.
