buying a car with a title of destruction
im buying a car with a title of destruction. Its has a title but its says its only good for parts. the car is fully fixed and functional.. the air bags never deployed...will i be able to make this car street legal?
at best (and i'm not even sure you could do this) you MIGHT be able to get it inspected and titled as reconstructed. (even at that, it's not worth shit). The only reason the title is even important is for proof of origin of parts.

If it were a salvage/rebuildable title and had been properly fixed with proper documentation you could have it inspected and then get a rebuilt title and register it. A certificate of destruction is just that, you'll never legally put that car on the road.

what you can do is get a rolling chassie and throw all the parts in to it.
