?'s about the different techs on TR
lately in mitsu tech it just seems like you cant talk about any thing with out it getting locked, and i just want to see what it is like in the other techs
Do you all ever get off subject and start to talk about set ups and wanting to run some one ? or whats good about certain set ups? How about when some one post stupid shit all the time do you tell them to quit..???

Most of the tech forums seem to be getting this way. If people are going to respond with “search, it was been covered”, why do they respond at all. The thread would be better without their response. You also have the thread that are just bickering and ass kissing that carry no technical knowledge or advise what so ever. I wish the mods would step in sooner and just delete these threads.

Its cool to talk about that kinda stuff when the thread pertains to it though. I personally dont want to have to read a thread about a meet, and there is several pages of shit talking and engine debates.
Im personally all about some off topic threads once in a while in tech forums, makes you guys more like family.

but lets say in the tech forums some times you have a conversation with a bunch of people in one thread and of course it gets off topic but does that mean it should get locked ....?

No, it shouldnt. And we do try and remind the mods they can do other things other than locking it.

thats my point .... i am using mitsu tech as an exp. like theres about 15 of us that always hang out and when we say were going to fight over something its a joke and you got mods pming you saying your going to get banned and shit like that .... thats kind of stupid IMO
I also post in bike tech and they always talk shit to each other, they all know each other and nothing ever gets locked for that reason

i mean there is a point when you do have to lock things and i under stand that but not every thing needs to be locked
i think mitsu tech needs another mod or some thing and also bike tech for sale needs one ... there are so many vendors in there and they dont pay for it and people always talk shit saying there bike is crap and blah blah blah

I personally think Jordan does a good job, he doesnt read constantly, but over the few years mistu tech mods didnt really do much. At least I know Jordan posts something tech when he can and he does read once a day.
And us mods are getting PMs from the users of mistu tech as well letting us know they dont like how the thread is going off topic. We cant please everybody, but we do the best we can for not being paid for doing this
For the most part we do let the mods of each respected do what they feel they want to do. Not every forum mod will let off topic forums even be started. If you dont like it, please let us know and we can try and work something out.

he does an alright job but i do think each forum does need at least 2 mods in it i mean look at war storys and mitsu tech both of them have one mod and both mods are not on much ....
to improve i think each tech should have the same rules I think they should make it like the ford tech and bike tech .... were you can joke around with out getting threats of getting banned

I think thats something you guys are going to have to prove to earn. There has been numerous occasions on TR were we give you the users an inch and you damn well sure stretched it for all its worth and sometimes then some.
I know some of the users have a hard time practicing self moderation which ruins it for everyone else.
