Default Saturn Sky test drive

Got to drive one of the manufacturer's SKY's today at work and holy shit is this car HOT!!!! Acceleration is meh, but styling and handling on this thing are top notch. Can't tell you how many looks I got in the car and how many Mazda customers and salespeople's jaw dropped when we drove by Saturn needs this car bad and I'm happy to it come to reality. I know the dealership on Dale Mabry got their's in today and we should have our's today or tomorrow at Saturn of Tampa. No test drives though, sorry. Got plenty of deposits on them and they are in VERY limited production. I think we'll see no more than 30 this year at my dealership :-/

Trunk space is zero with the top down but who cares.

I'll be saving for a deposit on the redline version that's supposed to hit the streets later this year....praying for GMS lol

Ah well, back to putting the stock order away.

I really like the styling of this car too, only thing that turned me off was seeing a listed curb weight of 2,9xx lbs last I looked. The redline version will likely creep near 3,050lbs.... too heavy....

There are already ways to offset the weight issue.

but its slowwwww and heavy

looks like a nice car, have yet to see one in person.

I always like the look of the Solstice in pics until I saw one in person, the rear on that car was disgusting and stubby. Maybe the Sky will look a little better in person than from what I've seen in pics.

the slow issue is taken care of by Mallet or the Redline version later this year. 2.0l turbocharged with a rumored 270hp.

The MX-5 was engineered from the ground up to save weight everywhere possible within reason. It's still the champ of the affordable 2 seater market in the handling department.......straight line speed is not it's target

Is the Sky ever going to be produced in enough numbers that there won't be that nasty dealer mark up?
