I know someone who got a ticket for spinning his tires a little. And he was in dirt...cop said he was racing. And the cop even said there was no one else around. Total B/S.

He went to court, paid a fine, and got 80 hours of community service.

 

uh u wont go to jail , they would have arrested u right then n there, if its ur first offense theni wouldnt worry about it tooo much and i wouldnt pay that lawyer SHIET! but i kno how u feel man soo if u got the money n wanna feel more secure then go ahead n pay it

 

I would definitely hire a lawyer. It could save your license. And I would go after the cop. File a complaint, harrasment, bad judgement, I don't know what. At least get a complaint on record so the next guy maybe has more of a leg to stand on that this cop is an idiot.

This kind of bad judgement is something I fear every time I drive my car. I have a loud exhaust and I accelerate hard from a stop at times. All I need is some jackass cop to say I'm racing and it's 800 bucks out the window. What a shitty law we have on the books.

 

LOL that cop is a fucking idiot. Why would two people be speeding at the same time? Lol who knows ass hole it was a camaro they have been known to go past the speed limit. I say definately sue for damages later. And if you can take action against the trooper for a bs ticket.

You can call the station as a defendant since your going to court and tell them you need to see a copy of the videotape the cops has of you actually street racing for defense purposes for court and if he can't come up with one which he should be able to because I had a cop tell me that "Every cop car in the state of florida now has a dash cam" and if he can't it's strictly your word versus his, and if he does give you a copy of find every point possible in the tape to prove you weren't racing. Also if he gives you a hard time about the tape badge the sh*t out of him because it's your right as a defendant to have all the same evidence as the prosecuting side.

 

I would find a new girlfriend while your at it once this shit is over with.
