I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I think a ticket for "aggressive driving" is ridiculous. But a penalty in a race? Let's just say I am a little less interested in NASCAR with each race I attempt to watch. My wife is even getting tired of it and she's a DIE HARD fan.............

nascar is dead i think the only race i will watch is daytona and thats it.but shit the cars dont even look like the cars they are modeled after.the ford fusion is a damn 4 door if i'm not mistaken.they need to make the sport how it was in the 60s and 70s where the cars looked like cars u could go and buy.resticter plate racing is bull shit.let them fuckers run.the where running the same speeds they are running now in the 70s and 60s an the cars are alot safer.

Janien and I toured some of the shops a few years back, one of the guys told us that they have 12 body templates that are the absolute same for Ford and Chevy (I'm sure dodge too, he just said Ford and Chevy) Last year an announcer commented during one of the races that some teams were happy and some were upset with the new body, yes I said body as in one, singular, body that NASCAR was coming out with. Yep, stock cars indeed...............

Officials should give the teams some room to test... allow the engineers at the BIG 3 + Toyota 
to develop aero packages... hell racing is about R&D as well as entertainment. Maybe some of the stuff will make it to production cars.

I almost think it'd be more interesting if they actually used production cars and blocks, like the touring and GT cars in the World Challenge have to.
Imagine a Fusion gutted with a worked v6. It'd be kinda nice to see what they can do. I might actually watch a race or two. It'd be the first time in a long time...
