the sooner u do it the softer the paint is and easier to go through...thats the reason i said wait or find someone professional to do it.

this is always a bad idea, i know ppl that have wetsanded the car 2-3 days after spraying, the paint never cures that fast and the orangepeel comes back, so all that work has just gone down the drain.

professional painters including myself usually wait a week or two depending on what hardner they used in their clear.

im too swarmed with jobs right now so i can't do it, but i can reffer u to a lot of good shops

Yeah, I'm waiting a month or so before the car gets wetsanded, I haven't seen the car yet, so I don't know if the car will need the wetsanding at all, but if it makes the car look better I want it.

interested in having my first gen camaro gone over

how much bad can one get rid of with proper wetsanding?

(major sun damage)

edit: paint is no where near "fresh" was recently painted when i bought her 6 years ago

if its a single stage paint job than its almost always salvagable with a wetsand and buff, but if its a 2 stage base/clear paint job than you may have not enough clear to safely wetsand it. if its fading, go over it with your finger, if you get any color on your finger, you have a single stage
