as for your import cars being better. i just picked up my stepdads nissan Murano form the nissan dealer that need its trans fixed only after 10k miles.

as for the 4.6 i never claimed that i had something special, that was you and your 240 with the really nice interior. but if you want to know, cops and taxis have the same engine and usually put more than 300k on them. dont forget, i can spend less than a grand and run low 12s

Euro's are definitly leaders of the pack in this situation. My Dad had a Volks Rabbit diesel, A Benz SLK and even one of those funky volkswagon Van things, which by the way wans't exactly a marvel of achivment for Volkswagon, but it did what it intended to do: transport a lot of people reliably and cheap. Even though he went through two motors (the first had 350,### miles so well...) eveything else worked. The Rabbit, Never a problem, minamal body damage and he beat the shit outta that thing. Also the SLK Never even had to worry about it maybe rotate the tires oh no... But on the downside to Euros would definitly be the quriky designs on their interiors (cupholders weird knobs for A/C Weird door handles) And parts. Honestly if parts were also cheaper for Euros I'd still have my Audi 90CS.

there's good and bad to both. As far as reliability goes, my father had a 74 Chevy Duelly 4 dr truck with over 380k miles on it. He sold it off to a concrete company up in Spring Hill a few years ago. Still see the damn thing around all the time. Then I've had a 92 Toyota Corolla with 222k miles and only ever replaced brakes, belts, tires, and a battery on it.

both were ugly, both did what needed to be done, both weren't worth shit on resale.

I'm not really partial either way when it comes to "appliance" type vehicals, but when it comes to sports cars, I always lean to the import side.

Thats just like saying the mazda is a probe, either way i drove a mazda and it misfired like a hoe so i bought the probe, and i also owned a lebaron turbo and it lasted me till around 150k and i sold it, from what i understand it is still running to this day.

 

your missing the point.the probe is just a rebodied rebaged MAZDA. everyhing inside he car is MAZDA. the motor is mazda, he ranny, he whole drive train, all the suspension, the chassis. so you thinkin the probe is a ford is retarded.
