i have 5 12oz cans are the legal to sell?

Yes its legal to sell, but you ahve to sell it to licensed users Its just not legal to make or release into the air anymore.

i had it for my GTX, but i ended up converting the whole ac system. so i have no need for it.

I have seen some on ebay, you can try there, or if you know someone who has a car that still uses R12 you can sell it to them...

Keep it, unless you need to sell. I have a case still that I sell a pound or two to a friend who may be in need. I get $40 each.
