Yeah. Have a daily driver and beater car. You dont want to be in my situation at this moment and have to rely on other people's car to drive.
Get a tC, save some money, and build yourself a track car. You wouild have something to workon for months ahead, and have something to cruise around town in.
Get a tC, its the cheapest of the bunch, and it does everything at a decent level.
That extra +$50 that you save per a month could go into your track car if you went with the tC.

Insurance rates ok?

The guy is buying 05`s new....who in their right mind.... unless they have alot of money, which if he did why would he be buying these cars.... would buy a new car and then mod it voiding his warranty? Doesnt seem like something someone would do. Thats how i assume that.

Yo azn listen to me get a Wrx or Si. Dude my bro has a TC and no offense to anyone there are horribly slow and I see like 2000000x a day. Other than that they are pretty good for the money (again no performance), but they do have potential witha Turbo Kit in some way. Remember all the times I took you a ride in my car? I know you want a Wrx LOL. My brother is getting a Wrx next month (so you gotta show him up LOL).
Dude you can maybe get a used 2003 350z or S2k which are not bad choices. Just don't rush into things and regret it later. Peace azn

If you want to have a drag car, my advice is get something rear-wheel drive, used and relatively cheap. A fox body Stang (<-fast! boxy!) or 240 (<-import! trndy!) comes immediately to mind...

There will be no warranty to void, the aftermarket is huge and you can make good power wile retaining reliability at a reasonable cost.

Buy a Civic if you want to road race or autox. Upgrade brakes and tires (or just leave it stock) until after your warranty expires, then go as nuts as you can handle.

Buy a scion if you want a 'round-towner that would be too pointless/expensive to mod.

What do you mean it "might?" Let me guess, you probably never checked it out, right?
Check up on the insurance rates for all the cars you desire.
I highly doubt that rates can be based on the configuration of the motor on the chassis.
I think if youre 23, the rates are crazy cheap for every car that you can get your hands on.
Always remember this....

You can pay off your car, but you can NEVER pay off the insurance.
Thats why i told you to check out the rates for these cars.

Dude...seriously. If you want a drag car...keep looking. But if you are set on these 3 go test drive each one, compare prices and see what kind of deal you can get. Then go from there. Here people are opiniated, personally i dont like any of them, but would choose the Si over the rest. Personal prefrence only.
