Post *Fake Aftermarket Parts*

I was reading Modified Mag about counterfeited parts such as BOVs, stainless steel headers, brake pads, mufflers, etc. that are on the market for less than what the real mccoys are selling at.
For example, HKS SSQV "style" BOV off of EBAY sell for $80 all day, while the REAL HKS BOV sell for $250.
Who can say "no" to that offer, huh?
The truth is that it may look the same, its what inside that counts. The type of material is almost completely different, and can only be examined when it's stripped apart. But there are some cases where these aftermarket parts that you put in your car seem to be very easy to produce, such as strut bars, made you think twice that buying a famous brand doesn't really matter at all.

So who are the winners and losers?
Losers
You, the consumer, get a "crappy" product if the product fails. If you have the option of making a return on that product, you have to pay for the return shipping and that 10% restocking fee.
The brand name companies lose on this deal because you chose not to buy a product from them to support them.
Winners
The producers of those counterfeited parts are the winners. Every person/company that is involved with that product before it's in the consumers' hand wins. Laborers get a job, eventhough it doesnt pay the bills much, but at least they have something to look forword everyday.
Shipping companies have more deliveries to make, and the producer, which is usually outside of the States, love the US dollar currency transaction that they get.

With that being said, list your parts of those knock-off parts, your experience with them, and your opionion about these counterfeited parts.
If you have any comments about my thoughts on these counterfeited parts, do critize me.

I dont think there are many counterfeited parts for stangs like imports have.

Definitely, China is fucking up the world's market with counterfeited products...I hate china. Buying out every resource, and turning it into cheapos.

The reason why i want to make a post about this stuff is because i know that there are alot of low ballers who rely on TR for used parts to bolt onto their cars, or search through EBAY in order to find good deals. And the good deals are those fake products that are misleading. There are some good products out there, some bad, so i just want everyone to make a list of the things that they should watch out or avoid on EBAY, that's all.
