There is plenty of gypsy joe offshore shit being made for muscle cars. I bought wheel opening mouldings for $100. NOS parts were $400. After having to relocate one of the mounting holes I discovered how shitty offshore parts really are. Sometimes thats all that you can get, I try to find the best quality if there is more than one vendor.

only knockoff stuff ive gotten was strut tower bars and i have no problem with them. how hard is it to make a bar?! if the real 300 dollar ones are better, i dont think theyre 270 dollars worth of better, i like my 30 dollar strut bars.

yeah strut bars are pretty safe bet if your going that way. also it semms alot of people buy the ebay 40$ coilovers. they do work as far as lowering purposes but the ride is usually a little bouncy. but all around the an ok deal, unless your autocrossing or something. regular driving i found them to be alright

I use one of the knock of tial gates. They look indentical but are different in the inside. The tial uses a higher quality material for the diaphram. Other then that they are the same gate.

The reason I went wiith the cheap unit instead of the good one is the fact the both are rebuildable. Dont get me wrong I didnt buy it so I could rebuild it all the time, I went with it because the weak part of it is the same as the tial. So when/if I need to rebuild it I call tial and get the diaphram and I have a gate that is exactly the same for less then 1/2 the price.

So far the gate works just as it should and I haven't had a real complaint about it.

The bad part is buying this stuff hurts the real companies that went through the trouble to design it.
On the other hand there isn't any real reason to charge such a high price for a part that costs like a 1/5 of that to have made.

it seems to me alot of people dont give knockoff stuff credit. in MOST cases the knochoff woeks the same as the rear ones.. i think the only thing that would make a difference is what you do with it. someone could have a dailydriver gst and put a knockoff wastegate on it, it would work fine. but some people who race there cars at well over the stock boosted rate or hp rate buy the knockoff and bitch when they break. its like buying ebay coilovers and autocrossing with them, then complaining that your shock blew

But when they claim to use big name brands to mislead consumers, obviously quality isnt what's on their mind.
I do agree that there are a few knock-offs that do well, like the said above: strut bars, air filters, and a few more.
