why all the love for rwd, rwd does not mean power. rwd means low fuel economy and the ability to wheelie ( with lots of power). fwd cars tend to have better gas mileage and are easy to add power to. The lightest of your choices is the crx, do a b18 or b16 swap. stock this will put you at low 14's, with turbo your easily into low 12's. tons of parts and aftermarket show parts.

because a rwd will always be quicker than a fwd.. thats why. He wants to go fast, rwd is the only way to go. You need alot more power in a fwd car to run the same times as a rwd car with less power. rwd hooks up alot better.

if you care that much about fuel economy you might want to get out of racing.......

Since you want show and go....I'd say the Eclipse or the Prelude.

Ding Ding Ding!! We have a winner!! Get with Ian and tell us how easy it is to go fast with FWD.

Just for the record, I'd feel like a complete moron if I had to swap motors to go 14's. A turbo = easy 12's? Give me a break.

i agree that rwd is always better for performance in all respects (much more than just driving in a straight line), but he said he's on a budget...
as mush as i love rwd i still drive a honda b/c i'm po'
but seriously if your budget is that tight and you want fast, go w/a crx...boost a single cam (dime-a-dozen motors), learn how to drive fwd and just have fun w/it

If you have FWD, you might as well go RHD as well and have the whole car be wrong wheel drive
