Obviously you are running a business where you have successfully imported vehicles for quite some time. In addition, i know another guy importing vehicles named jeff denmeade. He gets JDM vehicles into the country through a slightly different loophole...however they are able to be registered nonetheless.
Any time man.i just love when you have people who never imported anything automotive related and start talking like they know what there doing. This is my responce to that

Celm, After I talked to you on the phone a few months back, I called NHSTA and the EPA compliance offices, and they flat out said that it was illegal. That's all the re-assurance I needed. I also will not forget the EI Evo 7 debacle. Celm, you work for EI, I expect you to protect your intrests, even though they are not legal. Calling me a 'Cut and Paste' person? Hardly. I've taken the time to actually read the laws. If you 'really' had a loophole, why isn't Sean Morris exploiting it??? Didn't EI hire him to legalize the Evo 7's, and the petition got denied.

So go ahead, give us more of your sales pitch... it doesn't make a difference to me. I've read the laws, I've called NHSTA, and the EPA, and I've gotten my answers from the people who enforce the laws. I know the truth, and not your hyped bullshit.

so please...tell us more....tell us everything...

And again not know what the hell you are talking about...Look at FL assembled from parts category genius. We follow the exact way 1G racing does with there nobles, hey you find something that works you use it!!. And yes EPA and DOT know what were are doing they can’t do nothing cause we use the laws that they wrote. And back to the Evo 7 DIP SHTI....EI pulled the plug on the E7 project. the petition never got approved and never got denied just never ending pending, and you want to know why, cause the pussys at Mitsu NA knows that the US model is shit.. So when we did the petition they will post a comment saying its different the US EVO shell, we would say its not DOT will say to mitsu why is it different, mitsu come back was that’s confidential material and we can’t say. This was the same song and dance for 2 years. We even x-rayed the Evo 7 and 8 we imported and even the US Evo, everything was the same. mitsu has the never ending cash flow to drag it for ever. and man I don’t care what you say, I have stuff for people to see and you don’t have any credibility here anyway so I don’t care

The EVO VII used in the Gay and Bicurious movies had DOT stampings on the windows...I was surprised to see that. How did they get it legal?

Is there any reason besides just wanting to throw away money that people even waste the time caring about importing these things? For the amoutn of money its costing according to what I'm reading, you could buy an actual exotic car and have much more potental in it. I mean, I dunno, but to me the Skyline sounds like any other semi-quick import car out there...Mitsu Lancer EvoIII or Subaru WRX-STI or what have you. I'm being dead serious here, is there something I'm missing, because it just seems so pointless to me. Am I underestimating the inline-6 Skyline, or something, or has everyone just been brainwashed by F&F?

i think the main thing about it is to own a very unique car.
sure, you could go buy a used porsche 911, and it would be a very nice car. but how many do you see every day?
whereas you buy a skyline, with near equal performance, ot better potential for power, and will have spent less. think about how many skylines youve seen on public streets, vs. other "supercars" such as porsche 911, dodge viper, z-06, or whatever.
you probably are underestimating the skyline motor, do some searches on it, watch some videos of cars, and let us know if you still arent impresed.
but also keep in mind (as i posted in another deleted thread) the skyline wasnt really meant to be a supercar. in japan the price isnt near what it is here, the price is closer in line with a normal, non z-06 vette, maybe a little higher. but for that, you get more horsepower, all wheel drive. great technology, and an all around amazing performance car. over here, it might be a little overpriced when comparing prices. but the car isnt any less amazing.
