Actually, I emailed you back about 2 minutes ago. Wednesday 12 Oct.
I can always be reached at bobfixesitup@yahoo.com
or 813-839-4281, when I'm not busy.

If you are looking for a replica of a stock dash, you should contact the fiberglass guy. The dashes I have built are flat and generally for racing
cars/sports cars.
As for aluminum getting hot, I don't spend a lot of time with my hands on the dash to know that. -Bob

[QUOTE=CanTheWhales]Thanks for the input guys, I'm now considering a fiberglass made one, but haven't given up on a metal one. Here's my response to your posts:

As for making one out of aluminum, "Senor Honda" do you do what I'm talking about? You said you did, but never responded. I hope you not just talking to be heard. This is something I've been considering for a while and really plan on doing.

seems to me like your are looking to waste a lot of money, you could always just paint your stock dash.

My dad and I have used this truck for a long tiime (and still do) to tow his boat and go fishing, or do yard work. Either way it is in a location where it usaually sits in the sun for hours on end.

I would've painted my stock dash if that's all it needed, but due to the climate it's been exposed to, the stock interior is not only faded, but the sun has dried out and craked alot of the plastic.

For this reason, I was considering something other than stock and a little more performance looking beings how tha truck still ahs a lot of life left in it.

As you probably know the mid-sized trucks of the late eighties weren't know for their luxiouios interiors, so something boxed and flat would probably not only look good, but come pretty close to stock.

I haven't read your e-mail yet, because my computers being gay right now and needs a restart, so I'll read it in a couple minutes and see what you had to say, if you didn't post already by then. Thanks for the input.
