No such thing. Make sure you got some warm sticky tires and just go. There are a couple 500+hp fwd cars here in orlando that just walk away from a roll. But if it's from a dig, youre just wasting your time with fwd.

it matters on power to weight.for a skittle theres many of people that drive everyday with 500.i wouldent be suprised that theres somebody with a built car with close to 600 daily driven.but for something lite and not that big anything above 450 is just a waste,i had 300-350 in a 2000 pound car with me in it and it would spin 3rd and 4th gear like it wasent there.its kinda personel prefrence.i like spinning the tires and still pulling on bikes and exotics.i dident mind to much. so u can have just about anykind of power u want u just have to be able to get it to the ground.big tires, good suspension, traction bars.whatever u really want to have.

Buy real tires. You wont spin hot slicks.

Your hp will always be limited by the rest of your setup of the whole car. That includes tires, wheels, suspension and weight.

It took twenty five replies before somebody came up with an actual answer! There is no set number. It is all relative to the things listed by 4drwhore. I drove a 200HP Shelby Lancer and the thing had massive amounts of torque steer, and I've driven a 225HP Eclipse that had 0. It all depends on your setup.

Then your setups are shitty and you need to learn how to tune a chassis. I know of 600+whp fwd cars that go out and street race and have no problems with traction or spinning tires and then go put down 145+mph at the track and they are full street cars.

Have any of your "crazziest shit" done close to either of those? I think not.

You can have a 500whp fwd car that weighs 3200lbs with a shitty suspension run the same in a 1/4mile as a 250whp fwd car that weighs 2200lbs and has a good suspension. The point is you have to have a properly tuned chassis/suspension. I know of cars that make a little over 300hp running 10s cause the shit is done right. It's done like some idiots on here who cant spell, turn up the boost and then spin the tires into the car next to them. Difference btwn ricers and racers.
