Ill check out those sites..If he were to swap in the TT engine what would we have to do? Wouldnt that mean we'd have to change the entire wiring harness and the ecu and the transmission and change the drivetrain to AWD?

Lookin4HuGHjass - PM me some more info on your engine.

Dude, let me know what planet that's on. I've got over $1000 in my 383 already and it's just a rotating assembly inside the block so far.

No, the drivetrain doesnt have to be AWD. IIRC, you can seap the TT into the FWD, say, SL, without a new tranny, driveshaft, etc. Dunno about the ECU though

ecu has to be changed to a tt ecu, but make sure you get the one for the year you are using, I think 91-93 are the same, 94-95 are the same, and 96-99, but not sure, the drivetrain will be ok, however, you can do a awd swap, but to do the awd conversion it is costly, and takes a buttload of time, you have to do a complete rear subframe, awd tranny, transfer case, driveshaft, and the whole rear end, but there have been plenty of people that do tt swaps in manual sl cars, and even a few in automatics, but the autos dont hold up good, in a manual, it's probably a good idea to get either poly inserts or solid motor mounts to try to eliminate wheel hop, cause that causes broken trannys, good luck either way
