Yes I can make non-asshole posts. I do all the time but most people only seem to pay attention to the ones where I let a little bit of ass out. Go figure.
Yes I understand nitrous parts are pretty much free since they have been around forever and blah blah I was just saying it takes more to do something without nitrous then with.
Hey Scott wanna do me a favor? Post a picture of the inlet compressor of that turbo you guys got and then I'll post one Joes turbo and you guys can see exactly how small it is. It's like comparing peter north to q 6yr old chinese boy.
And I wont complain about the cylinders either scott, just the displacement!

Dude, get a clue. We aren't running that freight train turbo on the project car. The project car is a stock shortblock with a pretty mild cam, stock ported heads, and alot of nitrous. The picture was a joke. Do you seriously think someone has a $1800 turbo just laying around not doing anything and ready to donate it so a bunch of young guys can go beat the shit out of it?
I don't care how big the compressor inlet is on Joe's car. AT LEAST HE HAS A TURBO! I don't think you understand just how little money we will have in this car. Its mostly stock junk parts that people have laying around. If we had $5k we'd have to be careful of who drove it because it would be into the 9's which requires a competition license.
This is something we decided to do because everybody has spare parts laying around that either aren't worth much or there's not a market for. Its a total community effort, there will never be only one person working on the car. It will be done for the cheapest amount of money possible, while trying to keep it reliable enough to beat on at the track.

Ok, Last post. I'm going on vacation.
I do have a head start. As a matter of fact, If I wasn't going on vacation this weekend, I'd probably be in the 10s before monday, But, I guess it will have to wait a couple weeks.
I certainly dont want to argue about brands of number of cylinders, so I wish anyone else luck in a project like this. It can be very fun.

My 10 second car is in the process of being built. Cheap and easy aren't a problem, it's me finding the time since my life does not revolve around cars and I do work 50+ hours a week and have other priorities.
My car will have WAY under 5grand into it and run 10s. I have not even spent 1000 on it yet and i already have exhaust, car, trans, xcase, fmic, motor and fuel supply.
Guess well be seeing eachother on the 1320.

Basicaly what we have is one guy who has actualy done it ( built a fast car for minimal money) and a bunch of people who are talking about doing it for cheaper and it will be faster.
