Question for the mechanics
Hey, when I bought my '67, the clutch was funny and I never really figured out why. When I pulled it out, it looked like somebody had exploded the pressure plate and welded it back together. You've never seen a more unevenly worn clutch disc!
hey bbb where is your dealership at? my gf will be shopping for a car in 1-2 months

You can still pop the hood by hand, you just don't have a handle with a diagram of a car with an open hood on it.
2. Dip stick is broken. The plastic end of the dipstick is broken (probably made by the same people that made the hood release handle) I still haven't seen a reason not to buy the car, but maybe that's because I'm an idiot.
3. Needs four new tires. Complete udder bullshit, tires are absolutely fine, the girl even commented on the car having good tires when she test drove it but since a "professional" said they needed to be replaced, she doesn't want the car.
4. Needs an alignment. Once again, bullshit, I've driven the car on numerous occassions, you can pick your nose and talk on the phone and the car will keep driving straight.

I didn't realize that was the same car I drove to go put tires on. It drives straight as an arrow. She drove it, did it pull? No. Did they look at the tires? Obviously not. But because she was told it needed an alignment it must
.And why does she care if the top of the dipstick and the hood latch are broken? She probably had no intentions of ever checking the oil. The same mechanic probably told her she didn't need too
.
sounds like normal maintenance, aside from the broke pieces that are cheap and easy to fix but she will never use anyways, did he actually hook it up and see if the alignment was out or did he just make it up.
