Default FYI new laws

I'm sure many of you heard about the change in the law for car stereos, where if they are heard from over 25 feet away you can get a $70 citation, but what many of you may not have heard are the additional laws being tacked on..

The noise law goes into effect July 1.

The noise law is attached to a transportation package. That package also allows officers to pull drivers over and issue a ticket if they notice the driver isn't wearing a seatbelt.

Under the old law, drivers could only be pulled over and ticketed if officers noticed another traffic violation.

The law also requires motorists to signal before changing lanes.

fucking awesome. i HATE people who don't use signals when changing lines. maybe if i could read minds, then i'd know where people were going and when they were changing lanes! and +1 on stereo law, i don't want to hear anyone else's shitty music over the music i'm playing quietly in my car.

+1, but unfortunately this is yet another law that won't be enforced unless they are profiling you as someone they want to pullover

i do not listen to my radio loud. it is a safety hazard if someone listens to their radio so loud they can not hear ambulances, fire trucks or police officers coming. however, 25 feet is not much, especially depending on the area or time of night/day. it would not be hard for a cop sitting on the side of the road late at night to be able to hear your radio if your window is down. the law is just another way to pull a young male over in hopes to find as much on him to ticket as possible. it would be too risky for our tax dollar paid officers to find real criminals like drug dealers and child molesters, the real threat is suburbian kids that put money into their cars.

Yet another law that has little-to-no effect on me:
¤ No radio in my car
¤ Nobody rides in my car without a seatbelt
¤ I use my turn signal too much anyways
