Yes, I know. Its just that from what I've seen, Toyotas generally last longer with more abuse and have a great amount of engineering and technology put into it, not like a thrown together shitbox.

They must've skipped the great amount of engineering and technology memo when they designed headgaskets.

Or maybe they accidentally mixed up the technology...from what I heard, they were originally using asbestos HG and had no problem whatsoever with the 54 or so foot/lbs that they got from the factory, but then at the last minute they got this different material instead. Even then, headgaskets dont go out until 100k+ miles...pretty good I'd say, concidering that these cars would reliably drive daily no problem for so long with such a problem. Hell you could just retorque the factory stock headgasket properly and you'll be set for life! Good friend of mine has a Cressida (same 7M-GE engine) that has 120,000+ miles on it with no modifications to the stock headgasket at all, still hasnt had a problem.

This is the biggest reason I think the 1JZ got a MHG stock and more attention.

Although the system is old, outdated, and really nothing special, the oiling system is weird how at idle it only is at like 10-15 psi....there was TEMS, the electrically adjustable suspension, some of the oldest cars I know with rings of light around the ignition and driver keyholes so you know where the key goes at night...etc etc. Almost German really, but not quite

Dammit, every time I look back to blame it on someone else, it ends up being me that started it anyways. DAMMIT!

kinda reminds me of a 350z at some angles. i think dropped with some nice wheels and it could fill the bill in the looks dept. but till its on the road, cant say much about performance. but it is a big a55 six-cylinder they're stuffing in there
