That was finished back in the mid-to-late 80s. The reason I brought it up is torque steer...get a bunch of power on a FWD car and thats also what you'll get. Plus with a big 3.8 or so V6 up front, the weight distribution must suck!

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

Who said I was bashing it? I think the car is pretty cool overall. Just because I've pointed out obvious things like weight distribution and price doesnt mean I dont like it. I think they couldve gotten more power with a smaller engine definetly and although nobody here like the tailights, plenty of giddy girls will love the fact that altezza abominations come stock and may help boost Mitsu's sales. I'm just saying that Mitsubishi has dropped the ball in their automotive department...all they've got going is the EVO series that I'm glad still lives on untainted and still getting better. "Best backed cars in the world" my ass...they void your warranty for *anything*!

For the record, I'll take a straight8 or even an RS over an STi because I love the 4G63...its just hard to like them when they dont really have anything else going for them. Hell, if Toyota doesnt come out with something that'll kick some serious ass soon, I may have to look elsewhere! If they are going to kill a few series of cars that has been around for 40+ years or so, then they better properlly replace them and serve some ass on a silver platter...fastest thing under the Toyota badge is what...the fucking hybrid Highlander? I love the new GS's and Avalons, though Avalons arent exaclty moddable and the GS's seem to restrict power too much it seems.

Overall I hope they give Mitsu a good boost in sales. Its time for Mitsu to come out with something so that the "Mitsubishi Motors" branch doesnt have to pull down the rest of the incredibly superb company.

I hadnt looked into it far enough I suppose then. I did read the Motor Trend article and noticed it really wasnt bad though, although I hadnt remembered off the top of my head anything specific from it... I think it was actually a few monthes ago when they reviewed it.

Also, with an engine that big and output so relatively small, I'm sure it has plenty of potential hidden through basic mods.

Like I said, Toyotas arent fast The reason I like them so much is the shear reliabilty and practical driving factor of them..they are just great cars all around. If they wanted to, they could create an evil spawn to decimate the competition--see the new Tacoma; although I wont go so far as to say it "decimates" the competition, you do get more power, better mileage, braking, etc. and the reliabilty factory all for cheaper then most everything else. In fact I believe the only thing it lacked in comparibly was skidpad results..and otherwise blew away opposers.

Surely you've heard MT/C&D's reviews of the new GS's then...performs and handles great and comparably, but the computers and stuff limit it to hell. So as I said before, they have the potential, its just not their thing anymore.

I'll wait for people to really get their hands on them and find out more about them, turbo them, reverse engineer them, etc. until I have my final say.

you know toyotas arent the only reliable car maker, dont you? any car can be reliable if you take care of it , unless its a daewoo or something like that and toyotas can be equally unreliable if not taken care of.....
