tampamax is right. This is my 1st car i have ever painted, and i dont have the equipments or the working conditions to paint a car like the real guys do. Basically im learning this process the hard way. I dont have anyone to give me any tips on how to do it. Mix the hardener (activator) in a ratio of 1:8 is what the label says. I think im suppose to put like 20% of the hardener, and 80% of the other "stuff." Please do correct me that its incorrect. Then, when i spray it, the area that im targeting becomes okie, but then the excess (spellin???) or extra paint that doesnt get on the car, flows over the other side and then gets on the car and it hardens rightaway. Thus im left with tiny bumps on the car. Some areas turn out to be just fine. I did sand down a small area of the hood, and it did smooth out the bumps, but then its not shiny. I used 600 grit to take out the bumps, then 1200 grit. If i can get the clearcoat to shine like a mirror after using the 600 or 1200 grit, then the bump problems are solved and i will die as a happy man.
Ill take another pix of the paint saturday. Digicam isnt so good.

You have to buff it out after you sand it,that will shine it,and after you clear it I would cut it with a 1200-1500 grit.Don't use 600 on a a thin clear coat, you'll never be able to bring it back up.
That Nason clear flashes very quickly. Looks as if one side has flashed and when you get over to spray the other side it's like getting overspray on what's already painted.
It's mixed 4:1 clear/activator. What temp activator are you using. You need the HOT temp stuff to give yourself all the time you can get.

jus clearcoat it and go back and wet sand the hell out of it and then wax it and then see where u are if it still looks like crap wet sand again
