though for me, you'd have to change it to 10 inches, and you'd have to change inches to millimeters, and you'd have to change 10 to 5 and you'd have to change dick to poor excuse for one.

The Toyota Camry over the years has spawned several variations on the chassis it is built on. The first one that most people FORGET is the Lexus ES series. The Lexus variant of the Camry platform is by far the most luxurious and plush but is closely trailed by the Avalon. See the Avalon rides on a modified ES series setup so that it can better meet the targeted audience's needs. In other words the Avalon is an american built ES series variant which inturn is loosely based on the Camry.
The other Camry derived vehicles arent quite cars but are "Cross-overs" or "Soft-Roaders" in the form of unibody station wagons. The Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX series are based from the Camry platform but were re-engineered for thei respective use and target audience. While the Highlander still offers the 3.0L V6 of the 1st generation RX300 the Lexus variant received a throughly revised 3.3L V6 which it shares with the ES330. One might not differentiate the two while looking at the mechanicals but the differences are easily settled once driven. As one would guess the Lexus offers the higher content interior aswell as the most supple ride of the two but in terms of value you could spend thousands less yet receive almost the same vehicle in the Highlander.
Last but not least and because it is the most distant one of the Camry derivatives is the Toyota Sienna. Back in the mid 90s when Toyota was looking to replace the aging Previa they spawned the Sienna from a modified Camry chassis muchlike Dodge did with Caravan/K car. When Honda entered the game with their first total in-house effort (designed/built), the Odessy it was time for the Sienna to grow in size. The newest Sienna is by far the largest van Toyota has offered in the US yet it still rides on a modified Camry chassis.
All in all this one way Toyota has captured the american market, they offer vehicles that are well thought out, well engineered, well built and with very predictable manors.....what do i know? i only work for them...

Good explanation. I thought that the Avalon was "based" off of the Camry platform, not necessarily identicle, but I wasnt sure enough. I am not at all surprised that Toyota uses the same chassis for many of their vehicles...after all, it cant be such a bad chassis if the most popular car in the world has it
Not to mention it saves money from having to develop a new chassis, which may be partially why a similarly equipped Sienna is a bit less than an Odyseey.
I would also like to point out that the fastest current production Toyota is the Highlander Hybrid
