its still a boring car. i think the camry is nicer, and remmeber, the avalon uses lexus parts and paint colors, the camrys typcially dont.

My dad has been in the automotive biz for about 30+ years now...He has told me that has always been a good car and that he has seen maybe 5 of them in his life in shops.

That car is built off some lexus parts if not all of them.

Its a great car however, I'd like one just for towing people around.

Lexus does not 'manufacture' parts, they 'manufature' badges and brochures. Toyota is 100% responsible. ES300 = Camry = Avalon. All have the same chassis and drivetrain. ONly difference is that the Avalon is a 'larger' camry in dimensions. They are just as reliable as camry's.

Also, they sell new for a lot of $$$ (several thousand more than a camry), but since the average consumer never considers it, they don't look for it used. I.E> demand is low for the car used, and what does this mean? they don't hold there value. Used avalons usualy are the same as a used camry (even though they cost more new).

basically im not tryin to make a show car...i just want somethin that rides nice and smooth, is nice and big inside and somethin thatll look good with big rims...when i put my 22s on my mountaineer it didnt really effect the MPG, then again an Avalon is only a V6, so itll prolly put more of a strain on it, but still....if it gets even 15mpg, ill be all smiles, ultimatly id like to do an old school car with big rims(ghettoriffic!) but i know i wont be able to afford it and live a normal life, so i need a nice daily driver thats good on gas..so i can make those long trips to pick up ki's.. jk.

though for me, you'd have to change it to 10 inches, and you'd have to change inches to millimeters, and you'd have to change 10 to 5 and you'd have to change dick to poor excuse for one.

Its the Toyota equivlent to a Buick..thats it. Recently they moved the driving wheels to the back and added some direct injection, directly injecting practicality into it!

It was a very practical car before.. rwd doesnt effect practicality when youre my mom. She can still get her investors club luncheons on time and with good mpg.
