where in there is a direct quote from a CEO, and from which one? Most seems hearsay. My suggestion with the presentation is do a bunch of research before hand and maybe pick up the phone and act like a prospective customer or tell them straight up what you're looking for. Chances are you'll have to do the first to get information from the sales person but guage why consumers are going to the dealership and not based on what you personally feel the market doing.

go to forbes.com type in G. richard wagoner (chairman & chief Executive officer). then click his name under top ceo, there is a list, then click on the story "to SUV or not to SUV" it's in the 5th paragraph.

and the presentation went great.

thanks for your critical thinking. chau

man its hard to communicate what is meant when not face to face

most of what i said is from research and polls that i ran asking people how they feel about gm's actions. you can find a lot on forbes site and it's dependable info.

Ford also took a chunk of the import's compact market with the Focus, love 'em or hate 'em. And I'll add the SVT Focus bested the Si in many if not most performance comparisons.
Ford also is placing much of their emphasis on car development with the 500 and otehr offerings like the car like FreeStyle.
I think the GM and ford are placing a new importance on car production, meanwhile the japanese are focusing on the truck market, look at ridgeline and new Titan and Frontier for example.
I think the market will shift soon in another direction...and people think I'm crazy, but mark my words when I say "el caminos" will return.
In australia they call 'em utes.
