New production Fords > New Production GM

ive driven in the past 2 months the following vehicles

2004 chevy trailblazer (drove to NYC)
2005 ford explorer (drove back to FL from NYC)
2005 ford escape sport
2005 ford fuckus

the fords were better on gas, more solid, more sound, stronger feeling than that chevy was.

i used to own a 96 taurus, and that car was treated worse than a cop car was...2.5 years i owned it....i replaced the water pump, 3 motor mounts, and a tensioner pulley, and an oil pan gasket. and it was wrecked really bad too. 100K miles in the time i owned it...car withstood some fucking beatings from me...none of my prior GM vehicles took that well.

 

Well other than the new:

• Chevy Surburban/Tahoe
• Chevy Silverado Trucks
• Chevy Silverado SS
• Pontiac GTO
• Cadillac XLR
• Cadillac CTS (V)
• Cadillac SRX
• Saab 9-3
• Saab 9-7X SUV

GM sucks?

Seriously though. I think GM is doing "alright" basically only because of the Corvette, but if I would predict the future with GM, it would be down hill. Other than the Corvette.

The Saab 9-3's are tight as fuck though. I would rock the shit out of one. A GTO is basically a Corvette.

 

well, its not what they are making...its just the quality of their shit.
i had to trade that blazer back in when i got to NY...im driving in manhattan and the damn thing tried to stall out on me a few times...sorry, im not gonna drive thru manhattan with a car that wants to stall out! truck had about 12K miles on it too! and the ABS brakes were acting funny too. GM just uses shitty parts/electronics...they make nicer stuff than ford any day of the week, but its not as good of quality IMO and in my personal experiences

I see where you're coming from. But, I can't agree with you. My Dad owned a '01 Silverado Truck, 1500, long bed, cab, loaded. Had it for a couple years, then sold it, and bought a '99 Corvette. We've almost had the Vette for 1 year, and haven't had ANY problems at all. (Knock on wood)

My step mom also has a '01 Silverado 2500 truck, loaded. Had it for a little over a year, haven't had any problems other than the bushings in the suspension or some shit like that. Wasn't really a big deal. Oh and the heater. That's it.

You have bad luck with GM.

 

funny you should post this. i was at a chevy friends shop that drag races chevys and 5 of us where talking about the same thing. how all the new chevys are slow and look like shit. how chevy dropped the ball on fast cars.

i can't believe they stopped making the firebird i think the newer ones looked so bad ass. if i was into new cars i would of got a firebird.
i heard chevy dropped the camaro too

i don't care for the looks of the new gto.

 

ive had GM's, and fords, and driven many different models thru the years, and i find fords to be better built vehicles...period. GM has too many gay flaws that honestly any trained monkey should be able to prevent.

Firebirds and Camaros are teh suck. Seriously, its not like how I always poke fun at Fords because i'm building one, I honestly say F-Bodies are peices of shit. Just everything about them screams 'SHITBUCKET!'
