im sorry for this but congrats on your new car and all but really u need to read a lot more about your car before you even touch the motor. As said before do basic mods and such. I had the same attitude as you when i first had my car and modding it and all! My first car was an 02' se-r AUTO!!!... i thought i could make it super fast and cool y0 but no, refer to my gallery and you will see what happened to it and now im smart about my car, READ a lot about your car before u do anything. Youll learn that a lot of people have scams... for instance if u believe that your little magazine supercharger is just a simple bolt on to your intake your in for a good WTF where is the 484968 HP that it told me i was gonna get and we are in for a good laugh and a "i told you so." so be wise and dont just waste your money.

I would put $0 into modding that car. No new paint job, no lip, no rims.
Put 87 octane in it and drive it to school and back. You will be gald you did it when you want a newer car in a few years and have the money saved up instead of devaluing the car by modding it.

Congrats on the car, but leave it alone. That generation of Eclipse is notorious for problems. I had a few friends who owned them new in HS back in the day. Not trying to dis your ride, just trying to reason with ya.
