So when are Nis/Hon/Mitsu/etc.. going to catch on to what consumers really want for vehicles in the mid 20K price bracket?

Is this it? Is this the best we get? 200hp NA water bisquits that look like heaping steam piles? Ugly egg looking alloy travisty's with poor lines and even poorer performance potential?

I want my SR series back. I want my B series back. I liked the DC2. The S13 is 10 years old and still gets more chicks then my '04 spec. The new cars coming out look like shit. Plain and simple. Shit, the nicest looking import out is a hundai.

Why are dodge and GM bringing the pain (SRT, redline..) while the originators continue to turn away from the exact market that brought them our loyalty?

Eh, I think all new cars these days pretty much lack any style or originality.

 

I believe the originality has been gone for a while, and the days of people buying cars for pure performance are pretty much done with ... Everybody wants a really nice looking car that gets good gas mileage so they can parking lot pimp ... You got guys rolling '86 cutlasses that have crap paint jobs but 26" rims ... Shows like "pimp my ride" have destroyed the perception of how cars should be or were ... Beyond that, there is no more originality b/c it's all about making money now, not being creative ... unfortunately, I think we're all going to have to learn how to do our own fab work and try to spark the revolution

 

Agree'd, pimp my ride sucks. I have never once even seen them pop the hood on one of those cars. Sure the car might look cool (fireplace in the trunk ) and all but the thing wont make it another 5k miles down the road. With gas prices the way they are, people dont want to spend $25 to fill their tank and then have to refill it in another 2 days. Look at the SUVs the dealers are almost trying to give them away now.

 

I guess I shoulda made the thread about clear corners for sale or masturbation. That seems to peak the avg TR members interests the best.
