Default looking at buying a 92 nsx

im looking at buying a 92 nsx and was wondering if theirs a tampa club or someone i can talk to that has one that know's the car good cause i have some questions before i buy it , the acura dealership doesn't see to many of them so i want to talk to someone that has one please

watch out....I believe 1991 and 1992 models had a 'snap' ring issue in the transmission.

The 1991 and some of the 1992 NSX's have a transmission problem which stems from the snap ring. Mine fell into this category and cost me $2,000 to fix. The problem causes the car's shifter to wiggle around and pop out of gear (very annoying). For more info see www.nsxprime.com.

The snap ring issue was fixed by most Acura dealers on good faith on some of the cars. Thats some, not all. Growing up the neighborhood's rich guy had one and he never had to take it to the shop other than for routine maint. I wouldn't mind one myself.

the shifter poped out of gear in first when i drove it and it only has 41,000 miles and the shifter is loose . what do you think

Ask the dealership if the car falls into the snap ring failure group and whether or not it's been repaired.
