Someone could drive a 2000 pound car into the wall just as easy as I could wreck mine
Exactly! I've seen an Impala go around a tight course faster than a small import EASILY. I think he actually came in first place, I'm not sure. It's decently based on experience and skill.

I'm going to go get gt4 just to practice up. We're running this on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, right?

Hah, I'll fully admit I have no track experience and no proven skill in anything other than a straight line. If there are instructors there, I'll be more than happy to learn what they have to teach.

Jordan, Great attitude! I am sure there will be instructors there..... Hell, I still have instructors/advanced drivers ride along for a session when I'm at Sebring.

excuse my closeminded approach but, YOU DON'T HAVE A RACE CAR!!!!

You're an idiot. A street car is a street car is a street car. A good driver in ANYTHING is exponetially more safe than some young punk with an ego problem in the safest car ever built.

Infact, I'll be the first to volunteer to run in BBB's run group, simply because he has an adult attitude about performance driving.

Something to think about for the organizers of this event. There are already events like this in the past. SCCA Solo Trials, Primus, Ocala speedway, etc. Lots of people say they're interested on the internet, and then quite a few less show up. Don't expect to get the turnout you're seeing on this forum. Half of the punks will come up with gay excuses or have something come up.

john, if the roster is not already full, please count me in and send me info when it's available.

I'm trying to organize a track weekend here and knowing all that's involved with such an undertaking, I admire your efforts. I'm merely trying to enlist participation so that speedventures.net will return and host the event.

good for you, b/c i wont. In fact, it will make a funny run group as BBB blasts past your 15.9 sec MR2 in the straight and you slide past him in the turns while he does a 3 pointer.

ego problem, maybe. young punk, not hardly. particularly funny coming from a UF student. you're not as old as you think you are.

it's all about the driver and how familiar the are with their vehicle and how quickly they get familiar with the track.. I WILL be there if and once everything is planned out. Anyone scared of my big bad truck can kiss my assssss. I'm sure alot of people that would sign up have NEVER been on a track so I fear THEY would crash into me as they plow their riced out jilloppys into the turns with stock brakes..ect.....

if you are scared, just sit back and watch..
