Ha that reminds me of my first time at Sebring. I was taking the skip barber racing school. On the first day, I went out on the track after an hour of classroom time. The instructor was driving a Neon ARC and I was driving an open wheel car. I was following him and he put me to shame. I didn't loop the car like most people, but over shot the apexes and missed braking points left and right. Road courses truly are about driver.

As Chuck said there are big boned (humor ) cars at Sebring all the time.

A similar thing happened to me years ago. I had the damdest time shaking a Honda or something like that off my ass. It takes balls to admit that, but it was years ago so I don't feel so bad now. LOL

It's funny/sad that I would even be in a position where I would have to explain this, but I understand limitations and have no desire to hurt myself, others, or damage my car. I would think that would be the most important factor here, obviously there will be a lot of first timers/novices. Someone could drive a 2000 pound car into the wall just as easy as I could wreck mine

No one's knocking it. It takes a lot of skill to control a car in that way. It also requires lots of knowledge about alignment and car setup.

BTW anybody see that synchronized swimming expo on ESPN last week? LOL

And I had a similiar thing happen to me at Texas Motor Speedway. Was passed by an early 911. Skinny tires, 1/2 the horsepower. My instructor was giving me all kinds of crap - and I stayed pretty close to him for the rest of the session (but I was ALL OVER the track) Turns out he was a PCA instructor in my run group and a past Sebring podium winner... talk about being schooled...

LOL Funny how we all have stories like that. The egos are really put to shame on a track.
