Well I like both trucks, the frontier is prety nice, and the tacoma is awesome. but almost 30k as well for the tacoma.

I've always favored regular cab trucks, and with one, a console shifter wastes space where there isn't much to spare. When it comes to cars though, I agree with you that a full console improves the cockpit. I'd probably go for a Tacoma in the mid-size truck market myself. The best thing that you can do is drive them all, which you are doing.

Father has a Tacoma for his work truck, pretty well optioned minus 4wd drive. Seems kinda nice, has peep, decent size truck. But I dont know wth you import ppl are talking about "nice interiors" and domestics having cheap plastic interiors" That whole interior feels cheap and hard plastic. Im afraid to take anything apart if I had to in fear it all just breaking.

In a couple of months they will have used ones for sale pretty cheap. I don't know what kind of time frame you are looking at, so that may not be a good option for you.
