I need your help Tamparacing members! i have recently had work done at Engine lab of Tampa, Inc. back in december of 04. I had them helicoil my driverside motor mount holes in my block. They completed the process and i got the motor back and installed the day after. It was installed by a local shop that has proformed many swaps befor. Now febuary 28 05 my motor mount ripped out of the block exposing fucked up heilcoils and broken mount bolts... my question is what should i do??? it Engine lab responsible for havine messed up helicoils??? please give me your imput i feel like i should probably call them tomarrow morning. i am devistated because this is the 2nd time this happened and i am about to lose it with this car.... thanks for any imput. please keep the flaming out of the thread.

 

do you have receipts and the whatnot?

also is their work warrantied?

 

Get some better mounts so your engine doesn't move?

 

i have hasport motor mounts???? are those not good enough??? yes i have recipts but i do not know if there work is warrented?

 

im really upset about all of this... it is really become a pain... i have contemplated many a time if it was worth it to keep the car... i know i would never sell my baby but my patience has been tested alot lately.

 

Those mounts should suffice. Check out timeserts.

When you say the helicoils are 'fucked up', what exactly do you mean?

 

Should have used some heat wrap.
