i'm hoping 500/500 at the crank. power range is 2600-6200 and i've got a 3200 ati 10 inch stall so i'll be running 3200-6000-6200. if i don't make 400hp at the wheels with this small cam. i might put a little bigger cam in next year.

the car is still up and running.
i still have to pull the engine, paint the engine compartment, put in a new crossmember, new front springs, a stock cowl hood so the motor will fit under the hood, i need a few things welded onto the intake. i hope 4 to 8 weeks.

+1 on the heat wrap. Make sure to do the manifolds all the way to your mufflers, and the intake from the filter all the way to your throttle body.

my headers are jet-hot coated and i'm running a carb with a cowl induction hood. i just hope i can get the cowl induction setup to work with that intake.

what size motor is that? what are some of the parts you running with? are you doing a solid lifter/roller lifter setup? what cam are you using and carberator? just curious because you not expecting too much from it.

401 amc sb
indy heads flow 320@ .700 lift 290@.500 lift
10.7 to 1 35 quench
stock forged rods and crank
750 holley vacuum secondaries i might go 800/850 dp down the line.
small HYD roller 224/232 543/564 lift. this is why i'm not expecting much from this motor. but should drive really nice on the street. the cam is really too small for the heads and intake. i might put a torker on it and see if my 1/4 times go up.
the reason for the over kill on the heads is because i didn't want to put money into a set of heads and then down the line have to get a better set for more HP.

i was going to use a 234/242 565/584 lift cam. but it's a 45+ minute drive to tampa and 2 hours to a 1/4 track. with the small cam i can drive it all the time. my stall is a tight 3200 10 inch. with the bigger cam ati said i should use a 4000 8 inch stall.

i just need to change the cam if i want more power. a full port job on the heads and they flow 344 @ .600 lift and 350@ .700 lift

destop dyno 2003 said 560/500 but i don't believe it
dyno 2000 said 512/500
when i ordered my stall the guy at ati said ( it's goting to make 500 LBS of torque )

as you know, it's all in the combo and my motor is setup for a big cam. i'm a little worried about the small cam. but i'll see how it works. as long as i can pull high 11's or low 12's i'll be happy for now.
