Default Problem

I have a 02Eclipse automatic, and all of sudden yesterday it starts to lose idle and feels like the car is about to shut off when im at a red light,it also when driving doesnt feel like the car is gettin any gas. I took it into the dealership and had them do a tune up, because i thought it might be the spark plugs and so they could check it out, also my check engine light is on,after the tune up the problem was still there, they said it might have something to do with the emissions which is what i think as well, can someone help me out and plz tell me whats really wrong with my car................thx...........mike

What's the check engine code tell you? It's an '02, it has OBD-II so you can get a pretty accurate place to start looking for problems.

Get the actual code, it'll help you pinpoint the problem. There's a ton of emissions control codes. If the SES light is still on, go to Autozone, they should do a free scan on it.

your intake seals are loose or off. do you have a CAI or short ram? If it is stock, your filter must be dirty as hell.

Either that or you have a bad O2 sensor (not likely).

How you gonna do us domestic guys like that? You know damn well Mitsubishi is even worse than domestic when it comes to quality and reliability. And, to top it off, they don't even at least have the HP/TQ that domestics have!
