Default Is gasoline factored into a vehicles factory weight?

For example, my xA weighs 2340 lb's. from the factory. Does that 2340 lb's include a full tank of gas?

I'm curious because I would like to do some weight reduction to my car.

No, that is most likely a 'Dry' weight. No fuel.

BTW...why do some 'weight reduction' to an xA?..it's not nor will it ever be a race car. It's better to realize this now before you start ripping shit out and end up making your nice new car a piece of shit.

Keep it stock, i'd love to have a scion as a daily driver.

BTW, I'm not trying to be a dick, just saying...that car will never be fast. You dont want to start yanking shit out and regret it later.

make sure you do stage 1 and 2 before you do stage 3 weight reduction.

forgive me if i missed something but why would it matter if it was weighed with gas or not for you to do weight reduction? Its not like your gonna weigh the car afterwards correct, i mean you would just simply weigh whats taken out of the car? Ohhh and +1 on what kyle said

it depends if it is "dry" weight or "curb" weight "curb" being loaded minus passengers

if the weight includes fuel it will generally be specifically stated as in "with 1/2 tank fuel", etc.

Kyle,

I don't plan on doing any "serious" weight reduction. At most, take out the rear seats for autocross use.

I do plan on buying coilovers, a rear sway, and new wheels and tires. These are for autocross use. I know my xA is no race car, but it's fun to auto-x and it's good for me to get experience now, when I'm younger.
